These drivers are ati-fglrxG01-kmp-smp-8.552_2.6.16.60_0.21-1.i586.rpm and x11-video-fglrxG01-8.552-1.i586.rpm The ATI graphics drivers can be downloaded and installed after the SLED install. To obtain these drivers go to: http://forgeftp.novell.com/drive ... use/sle10sp2/i586/. To enable the ATI drivers for desktop effects you must install the ATI driver(s), as noted above, then follow steps at: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/suppor ... lndocid=MIGR-72313. The system cannot be suspended or hibernated after desktop effects is enabled.

Config Notes

1) Install: Before installing SLED do the following: a) Reboot your system, and enter into the BIOS setup, b) in the setup change the following, Config --> Serial ATA --> from "AHCI" to "Compatibility", and c) Save and Exit, install SLED onto the system.

2) The Wireless drivers used during testing were installed from the following rpm: intel-iwl5000-ucode-5.4.A.11-2.1.noarch.rpm intel-iwlwifi-kmp-smp-1.3.27_2.6.16.60_0.21-0.i586.rpm novell-mac80211-kmp-smp-20081028_2.6.16.60_0.21-0.i586.rpm. These drivers can be downloaded and installed after the SLED install. To obtain the driver go to: http://forgeftp.novell.com/drive ... p2/ptf/common/i586/

3) The LAN drivers used during testing were installed from the following rpm: intel-e1000e-0.4.1.6-1.i586.rpm intel-e1000e-kmp-smp-0.4.1.6_2.6.16.60_0.21-1.i586.rpm These drivers can be downloaded and installed after the SLED install. To obtain the driver go to: http://forgeftp.novell.com/drive ... p2/ptf/common/i586/

4) Power management: To enable suspend and hibernation on this system follow the steps at: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/suppor ... lndocid=MIGR-72314. Then reboot the system. If desktop effects are enabled (as described above in the product description) the system will not suspend or hibernate.

5) Desktop Effects: Tested graphics driver (fbdev_drv.so) does not support desktop effects.
